Vertebra Feature

Each vertebrate species' spinal column is a relatively flexible sequence of vertebrae, each of which is a distinctive irregular bone with a complicated structure made mostly of bone and secondarily of hyaline cartilage. They show that the proportion provided by these two tissue types varies; these differences are related to the cerebral/caudal rank on the one hand and evolutionary differences among vertebrate taxa on the other.
